Question: We have several direct deposit items listed on the Create/Send Direct Deposit File screen. These are either voids or old entries that don't need to be sent to the bank. How do we get rid of them?

Answer:  To remove the old direct deposit entries like the ones below, you will use the same method you do for generating the direct deposit file as if you were sending it to the bank.

 

Select the entries you need to remove and place them in the Selected Items. You can leave the settlement date as is because this file will not actually be sent to the bank. 

For the file name, change it to something you will recognize as not being needed such as Trash.txt. 

 

After you click Ok, you can now to go the location where you saved the file to and delete this file if necessary so it isn't accidently uploaded to the bank.
