Symptom
When any type Defined Field is created or accessed, the Restrictions screen verbiage is as follows:
‘Select all constituents in the following group(s):’
Erroneously implies that Defined Fields allows query grouping

Do not try to create multiple groups within Defined Fields, it cannot be done
