TAX UPDATE
Version 2018.1.1 contains changes in state withholding tax formulas for the following states/districts: 
  • California
  • District of Columbia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Maine
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • New York
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
Please note: To complete the tax update process, you may need to manually update your State Unemployment Tax and/or Other Tax code rates, wage limits, or amounts. 

This update will also include changes to the following federal tax withholding: 
  • Federal Withholding Rate: The withholding allowance amounts by payroll period have been updated and increased over 2017 rates. The tax rates for the brackets have also been adjusted where applicable.
  • Social Security Wage Base & Tax Rate: The social security wage base limit has been increased from $127,200 in 2017 to $128,400 in 2018.
  • Updated Credit Reduction Rates: The FUTA Credit Reduction Rates have been updated for the following states: California and Vermont.
  • Withholding for Non-Resident Alien Employees: The withholding adjustments for nonresident alien employees have been increased.
  • Updated 941 Worksheet: The 941 worksheet has been updated to reflect current FICA rates for 2018. 
Several enhancements will be included in the latest update as well: 
  • Users can now track the YTD earning hours and amount along with the YTD leave hours accrued and taken on the check/voucher with Forms Designer and Reprint Pay Stubs.
  • Users can now specify the pay code title on the check/voucher with Forms Designer and Reprint Pay Stubs.
  • The South Carolina Occupation Code will be supported and provided to the eFiling and Electronic Payments by Aatrix®.
  • This release also includes the published federal and state tax changes for 2017 and 2018.
  • Many quality updates with HR/EWS/Payroll are included in this release.
