Background:
MipQry.exe is a generic utility that allows you to execute Abila MIP encrypted SQL scripts against your organization database(s). MipQry.exe will NOT execute a script that has not been encrypted by Abila. This ensures that only scripts thoroughly tested by Abila are made available to you.
This article has been created to track issues related to running the MIPQry tool. Common concerns are:
1) The utility opens, database and script are selected, but after executing nothing happens.
2) The utility opens but the database does not show in the dropdown.
3) User does not have admin rights to the local machine, so the utility will not execute.
4) The utility is downloaded but will not run, user may encounter generic Microsoft errors.
5) User may experience difficulty downloading, saving or opening the tool due to network or environmental reasons.
